Bemis Company, Inc. announced that it has purchased Kanzaki's pressure sensitive materials business which supplies direct thermal pressure sensitive products to printers for labels used for bar coding, shipping and inventory labeling, and a variety of other end uses. Net sales of the business were approximately $78 million in 1999.
Commenting on the acquisition, Jeffrey Curler, president and CEO of Bemis said, ``This product line will be an excellent add-on to our existing roll label business and has very good growth potential. We expect it will be neutral with respect to our EPS in the first year and accretive after that.''
Bemis Company is a supplier of flexible packaging and pressure sensitive materials used by leading food, consumer products, manufacturing, and other companies worldwide.
