Arjo Wiggins Appleton p.l.c.
and the management of its Appleton Papers Inc. subsidiary have agreed to
explore an ESOP-sponsored purchase of Appleton Papers. Appleton Papers would
establish an employee stock ownership plan or ESOP in which employees would invest.
The ESOP would use the employee investments and borrowings from financial
institutions to fund the purchase of Appleton Papers from AWA.
