The National Demolition Association (NDA) announced the NDA’s Ohio Valley Regional Council hosted its inaugural meeting at Company Wrench’s headquarters in Carroll, Ohio, on Oct. 10.
According to the association, the creation of the Ohio Valley Regional Council will provide local industry practitioners an opportunity to network on a quarterly basis. In addition, members will have access to educational opportunities led by industry experts and government officials, as well as have a forum to share best practices.
Dan Sowry, assistant chief of the Ohio EPA’s Office of Compliance Assistance and Pollution Prevention (OCAPP), was present to discuss the EPA's role in asbestos abatement. Jeff Lambert, executive director of the NDA, helped coordinate the event, and representatives from Company Wrench, LaBounty, Epiroc and Brokk were also on hand to answer product questions and provide solutions to NDA members.
"The inaugural Ohio Valley Regional Council meeting was a success and will hopefully encourage other NDA members to participate in the future,” Company Wrench President Cam Gabbard says. “We feel it is important for the industry to meet regularly to stay connected, meet like-minded individuals and share ideas to help shape the growth and landscape of the industry. Recent NDA member networking receptions have been successful in other parts of the country. We want to help bring that success to the Ohio Valley region."
